The testimonials from women who have transformed their lives at the Evangel Home speak volumes as to why the Guarantee Good Will Network recently donated $1,000 to this organization.

A former drug addict and prostitute, says “I received an education from the Home that is priceless.”  Twelve years later she is a valuable employee at a major local accounting firm.
A woman who had previously had boiling water intentionally poured on her by the father of her child, arrived at the Evangel Home with only the clothing on her back, she says “I am so thankful and blessed that I was at Evangel Home and not on the streets.”
Other stories tell of women and their children who were abused, abandoned, and had no place else to turn.  And their stories conclude with the productive lives they were able to create for themselves after graduating from the Evangel Home.

Evangel Home- Zelena, Nalani, Dorie Enos, Morgan Montelongo, & Rebekah Kossman, originally uploaded by Donna Waddell-Solis.

When delivering the Guarantee Good Will Network’s $1,000 donation to Evangel Home’s Executive Director, Gerre Brenneman, we were fortunate to arrive at the same time that a Westminster Presbyterian Sunday School class was delivering Christmas gifts to their adopted family, Zelena and her daughter, Nalani. What a joy to watch 2 ½ year old Nalani carefully unwrap the gifts brought by Andrea Sweet, an Evangel Home Board of Director, and representatives from her Sunday School class, Dorie Enos, Morgan Montelongo, and Rebekah Kossman. You can enjoy photos of Nalani’s delight with her Christmas gifts, by clicking HERE.
